DeNooyer Chevy in the Local Community

The DeNooyer family has been involved in the Holland, MI community for four generations. Taking care of our customers, inside and outside the dealership, is the cornerstone of our business and personal philosophy. Whether it's a youth education project near Grand Rapids, a natural habitat preservation effort near Kentwood, or a little league team near Allendale, we are fortunate enough to be able to help support these priceless organizations.  Here is a list of our partner charities and organizations helping to make West Michigan stronger, safer, healthier, and happier.

A Christmas Store 2025

This year, we continued our annual gift contributions to the Heights of Hope organization’s Christmas Store which benefits children in need.

If you would like to help, Heights of Hope accepts cash or check donations so we can purchase the remaining items ourselves and make sure every teen has great options to choose from. You can make a cash donation here (just choose the Christmas Store): https://share.google/cwV1oNiWW9VtaP4Uc or if you can also click the Christmas Store link on their website: https://www.heightsofhope.org.

Turkey Trot 2025

The Zeeland Turkey Trot is an 8k run benefiting the City on Hill Ministries. Participants can run off the calories before ingesting many more! And who doesn’t enjoy a little exercise for a good cause. We helped sponsor the event this year along with many other Michigan-based companies.

Black River Robotics

FTC Robotics is a challenging and rewarding middle school program where students are given the opportunity to design, build and program a robot to perform tasks of their choosing. They then operate the robot in various competitions around the state.

DeNooyer Chevy is excited to be able to help provide funding for this program and advance the state of Michigan in the field of robotics and high tech by empowering our most valuable resource: our young students.

Holland Zeeland Community Fund

The Holland/Zeeland Promise was created in 2010 by a group of local business and community leaders, notably including couples Bob and Colette DeNooyer, Bob and Deb Sterken, and Tim and Anne Hemingway, inspired by the Kalamazoo Promise to offer scholarships to local students for college or technical school, with the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area (CFHZ) handling administration and growing support. This organization strives to ensure our community thrives by supporting high-impact charitable projects in the area. Check out more on this link: https://cfhz.org/

Other organizations we sponsor

DeNooyer Chevrolet is a proud sponsor of LAUP which is an organization with a mission to empower Latinos to participate in creating a better community for all through advocacy, education and celebration.

We enjoy sponsoring Juneteenth to make this date as recognized as the 4th of July! In fact, Juneteenth is the recognized date of when American citizens were all truly free, two years after the Civil War had ended, and this event occurred at the historic site of Galveston Island, Texas.
